Plus two answer paper corrections to complete by May 2

Theni: The TN Govt has ordered the completion of correction work of plus two answer sheets before May 2.  

Totally, 7,60,975 students from 5,557 schools across the state of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry appeared for the plus two common exams this year. 

Correction of the answer scripts began on April 2. The Govt has ordered to complete the correction work of plus two papers before May 2 and the Tenth standard papers before May 6.

Results will be released after ten days once the correction process is completed, according to officials from Education Dept.  

Computer literacy rate gone up in TN: O.Pannerselvam

Theni: Computer literacy among students in Tamil Nadu has gone up from 12.6 per cent to 15.6 per cent after the free Laptop distribution scheme for college students was launched, State Finance minister O.Panneeselvam said.

He was distributing laptops under the scheme to students of Cardamom Planters' Association at Bodi near here.
   
Chief Minister Jayalalithaa had allocated Rs.1.5 crore for setting up Language schools for students to improve their skills in various important languages like English, French, Japanese and Chines, he said.
  
The scheme would help the students get jobs anywhere in the world, he claimed.The language labs were being set up in every University in the state,and special allocation was being made for the universities to improve their infrastructure, the minister  added.
