VC of Maharashtra Animal Sciences University quits


Mumbai: The Vice Chancellor of Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University, Dr C S Prasad, has resigned.

Prasad, who headed the Nagpur-based University, tendered his resignation to Governor K Sankaranarayanan, who is varsity's ex-officio Chancellor.

Prasad resigned following his appointment as the Director of National Institute of Animal Physiology, Bangalore, a Raj Bhavan release said.

The Governor has accepted the resignation and has asked the Divisional Commissioner of Nagpur, B V Gopala Reddy, to assume additional charge of the post of Vice Chancellor.

Prasad was appointed as Vice Chancellor on May 12 last year.
