The graduation ceremony of the B.Sc. and post basic B.Sc. Nursing students at various nursing colleges under the University College of Medical Education (UCME), Mahatma Gandhi University, was held here on Friday.
P.K. Somasekharan Unni, syndicate member, MG University, inaugurated the function and Mary Lucita, regional director and principal of UCME, presided.
In his address, Prof. Unni called upon the nurses to follow the model of Florence Nightingale in serving to the society. Dedication in patient care is the hallmark of the service that should be maintained as they step out into the world as nurses, he said.
Dr. Sister Lucita and Prof. Unni handed the graduation certificates to the fresh graduates.
