Konwar appoints Lalan Kumar as JP University syndicate member


Patna. Bihar Governor Devanand Konwar today appointed state Youth Congress president Lalan Kumar as a member in the syndicate of JP University, Chapra.

According to a notification issued by Raj Bhawan, Konwar said in exercise of his power as Chancellor of universities in Bihar, he appointed state Youth Congress president Lalan Kumar as member of the Jaya Prakash University, Chapra. In the notification, the Governor said under Section 22(1)(J) of Bihar State Universities Act 1976 as amended upto date against the vacancy existing due to former MP Ranjit Ranjan being inducted as syndicate member of B N Mandal University in Madhepura, Lalan Kumar was thus being appointed as syndicate member of JP University, Chapra.

 Meanwhile, state Congress president Mahboob Ali Kaiser and party leaders Rashid Fakhri, Lalit Kumar, Sajiv Singh, Vibha Kumari, Md Kamran, Geeta Devi and Rohit Kumar congratulated the state Youth Congress president for the appointment. Kumar is also member of the disciplinary committee and promotion committee in JP university in Bihar.
