Chennai: With tenth result just released, 86.20% of the total students have cleared the tenth standard first common exam under the " Samacheer Kalvi" Scheme.
Tenth common exam under "Samacheer Kalvi" scheme began on April 4 and got over on April 23. Totally 10.84 lakh students appeared for the exam through school and 95,418 appeared through private. Results of the tenth common exam were just released by the, Directorate of Government Examination.
Overall 9,05,538 students registered through schools have cleared the common exam raising the pass percentage to 86.20% from 85.30% of last year. With 83.40% of pass among boys and 88.90% of pass among girls.
5,68,815 students have secured more than 60 per cent with 1,141 scoring centum in Mathemetics; 9,237 scoring centum in Science and 5,305 scoring centum in Social Science.
