E-course for BVSc and AH Degree programme released


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University released CDs/DVDs of e-courses of BVSc and AH Degree programme, under the project sanctioned by National Agricuiltural Innovation Project (NAIP) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Besides creating multimedia e-learning modules for the courses, objective of the Rs 221.47 lakh project was to create a sharable repository of learning resources in veterinary and animal sciences and to deliver the e-modules online (web) and offline (CD/VD), R Prabhakaran, Vice-chancellor, TANUVAS, said at the 23rd meeting of Regional Committee of ICAR here.

BVSC and AH Degree is the undergraduate programme offered in veterinary colleges across the country, for which syllabus is stipulated by the Veterinary Council of India and the project for creating e-contents was started in December 2007 and completed now.

The e-contents were developed for 69 courses, offered in nine semesters spread over five years of degree course, in 177 credit hours with 101 theory and 76  practical and 3,009 lessons, he said.
