Plus two results on May 22


Chennai: Plus two results would be released on May 22, at 11:00 AM, announced, School Education Minister, Sivapathy.
Minister Sivapathy, told, "The Chief minister has given consent to release the results of plus two exams on May 22, at 11:00 AM. Accordingly, the results would be released on that day". 

Conducted across the state of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, the plus two exams were held from March 8 to March 30 in 2,000 centers with 7, 63, 124 students appearing for the same.

After the completion of correction on May 2, now, data entry work is taking place at a rapid pace. 

Following the completion of data entry work the results would be prepared. Education department sources say that all works would be complete before May 19. Result cum mark list would be sent to all schools across the state on May 20 & 21.

On May 22, at 11:00 AM, the results would be released at the Directorate of Government Examinations by its Director, D.Vasundhara Dev and at the same time released in all schools across the state by the respective principals. 
Due to the delay in commencing of classes at the beginning of the year, the results got delayed by 12 days than last year. 

Many are apprehensive that this delay in results would affect admission to professional courses like Medical and Engineering.

However, clarifying about this, Sridar, Secretary, Higher Education, told, " Due to the delay in results, admission to professional courses such Medical and Engineering would not be affected. All necessary arrangements would be made", he said.
